Since 1992, our goal has been to bring holiday horse riding to a new level by providing unique horses and ponies that meet all the needs of each individual rider and all the services that you need to make your riding safe, comfortable and unforgettable. It's what we do. We're the experts on holiday riding......and so are our horses.
Salt Lake Stables celebrates their thirty-year anniversary and is now under second-generation management, continuing to do their very best to give you the ride of your life!
BREEDING
Our warmblood horses come from our foundation Hungarian mares, imported from Budapest, and our foundation stud, grandson of Darco, an international grade showjumping stallion from Belgium. Our stallion also has Arab and Russian Trakehner blood from his sires' side. As of 2015, we are breeding the warmbloods with our Andalusian stallion Primoroso, imported from Spain. Our first Warmblood X Andalusian colt arrived in July 2014. Starting in 2017, we will be breeding purebred Andalusians with our Spanish mare. In 2018 our first Dutch Warmblood foal arrived, both parents imported from Holland. All of our young horses are lightly backed at four years, ridden at five years, and introduced to full-time work at six years.
